The Lucky one by Nicholas Sparks Chapter 1 to 10. (Assessment 3.07)

Summary:
Logan Thibault is a former Marine freshly returned from a tour in Iraq.   Logan discovered a lost photograph of a smiling young woman half-buried in the dirt at a fair in North Carolina.   When no one claims the photo, he decides to keep it. Soon after this discovery, Logan begins to experience a streak of extremely good luck. Winning poker games and even surviving deadly combat that kills two of his closest buddies.  Only his best friend, Victor, seems to have an explanation for his good fortune. The photograph is his lucky charm.      Back home in Colorado, Logan can’t seem to get the photo and the woman in it out of his mind.  Believing that she somehow holds the key to his destiny, he sets out on a journey across the country to find her. From the few clues the picture provides, he makes his way, with his German Shepherd, Zeus, to Hampton, North Carolina. After questioning the locals, he learns that his lucky charm is Elizabeth Green, a single mother and teacher living with her grandmother.

Reflection:
As I reading this book, I thought about true love, destiny and fate. I love reading stories about two people having a chance meeting and just knowing from that moment that they were meant to be together, no matter how much their relationship gets tested. Reminded me of the story Cinderella. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it kept me guessing right up to the end. The characters are charming and well-developed. It's a great book to read.

Author’s Intent:
We all knew Nicholas Sparks is, especially teenagers. Speaking of author’s purpose, Nicholas Sparks wrote love story novels. All of his novel is a romantic-drama. That’s why he’s known for the title “king of the romantic-drama” I think Nicholas Sparks wants to inspire people in terms of love. He knows how to at a reader’s heartstrings. I read some of his books and watched the movie version of it. It made me laugh and cried. He knows how to catch the reader’s attention. He has a beautiful natural way of portraying a complicated and intense love story.
